We now seek a Senior Sustainability Engineer to be based in one of our UK offices: London, Bicester or Newcastle. Role Responsibilities Designing a sustainability future in the Build Environment Collaborate in a team delivering a wide range of sustainability appointments including design projects, LEED, BREEAM, NABERS, TRUE, WLCA, ASHRAE Energy Audits, ESOS/EED, Part L (UK/Ireland), Energy/Carbon Modelling (IES/OneClick LCA) Act as the LEED Assessor for RED Design Projects, assist with bids and tender preparation, co-ordination with wider bidding and design teams Draft, review and issue LEED reports, meeting minutes, contractual documentation, calculations, technical reports, presentations and action lists Undertake site visits and audits in support of sustainability appointments and carry out independent research to support sustainability appointments Assist the SS&CC team and wider business in meeting business/project deadlines and contribute to SS&CC/RED ESG activities ‘Walking the talk’ advocating for sustainability Role Requirements Required: Sustainability experience must include LEED. Desirable to have experience of BREEAM, TRUE, UKNZBS, LETI, Part L, IES, OneClick, GLA, WLC, TM44, Energy Audits, ESOS, EED, NABERS, CIBSE LCEA) At least 3 years’ experience of working on Sustainability Real estate projects Advantageous: Qualified in / working towards qualification or good working knowledge of one or more of the following: LEED AP, BREEAM / BREEAM AP, NABERS, ISO 14001 & 50001, LCEA Level 5, TRUE, DNGB Educated to degree level or equivalent in engineering or environment discipline and client facing experience and an understanding of construction process in the UK/Ireland Good understanding of the planning process. Interaction with planners advantageous. General understanding of Building Services design and industry engineering terms Ability to produce high quality written reports and ability to work to deadlines and budgets and prioritise workload Ability to delegate work as required and manage resources Flexibility – to meet deadlines (and know when to push them back) and to travel to site meeting/inspections Advanced knowledge of excel (essential) and word/outlook (desirable) Good knowledge of working online remotely from home using Zoom/Teams/Google Docs and MS office applications including PowerPoint and publisher Ability to present clearly to design teams, in person and over video calls and accuracy/excellent attention to detail Background in consulting or construction preferred. Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy. Understanding of how to embed sustainability into projects and in general and follow the principles of the Sustainability guidelines of the Group both at work and beyond Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group This role will ideally suit those with the right to live & work in the UK without restrictions, as we are unable to offer sponsorship at the present time
