Role Purpose To be responsible for the Medical management of all B team players and where applicable the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. The post-holder will be expected to attend all B Team fixtures (home and/or away) to assist pre-match preparation, match cover and post-match assessments/treatments. Key Responsibilities: Organise and provide Medical provision to all players within the B team squad. When required to assist with players at 1st Team and U18 level as requested by Head of Medical Services. Lead on the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of all injured B Team players resulting in a safe Return to Play. Implement injury prevention programs and return to play protocols for injured B team players. Communicate effectively with B Team coaching team re player availability/management. To produce weekly injury reports and develop injury audits for the B team squad. Work effectively within an MDT team to ensure best services are delivered for players. Contribute to the education of placement students working within the B Team/Academy Medical Department. Organisation of in-house Medical CPD training when requested by the Head of Medical Services. To maintain professional body standards at all times. To ensure the FA Anti-Doping regulations are adhered to at all times. To maintain up to date and comprehensive CPD activities as stated in professional body guidelines. Maintain standards of clinical hygiene and cleanliness at all times. Respect and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Keep detailed daily and up to date medical records on the progress of each injured player. General Responsibilities Be an ambassador of the Group, providing excellent customer service at all times whilst portraying a professional image. Perform other duties as required, which are considered relevant to the post and to the objectives of the Group as identified by the Head of Medical Services or Sporting Director. About The Candidate Essential Requirements Qualifications Have full membership of The CSP/The Society of sports Therapy/BASRaT or relevant body. Have appropriate medical indemnity to treat/advise FA players. Advanced Emergency Aid qualification. Relevant Sports Massage Qualification. Experience Experience as a therapist working with elite athletes. Knowledge, Skills and Qualities Detailed understanding of football and the ability to apply that knowledge to aid performance and provide actionable solutions. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to organise, schedule and adapt to meet conflicting deadlines and respond to changing situations. Proactively identify and build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders. Team working. Pro-active approach to personal development. Desirable Requirements Qualifications Postgraduate Sports Medicine/Physiotherapy/SC related qualification. Experience Experience as a therapist in Professional Football.
