We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate who is looking to take the first step in their Economic Development Career Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is dedicated to fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Graduate Economic Development Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of impactful projects, from town centre regeneration to organising recruitment events. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and delivery of economic development projects. To assist with the Economic Development Team’s communications with local businesses, including the monthly newsletter, our social media channels and the Business Portal on the TWBC website. To support the preparation of the Council’s Local Plan and Royal Tunbridge Wells Town Centre Plan with reference to economic development and transport issues. To assist in promotional campaigns to support local businesses and encourage new businesses to invest in the borough. To provide support to Royal Tunbridge Wells Business Improvement District (BID), a key partner for the Council. To undertake research for Economic Development projects, plans and strategies and assist in the development of engagement programmes as needed. To undertake additional administrative duties as required, including assisting with the team’s financial and record keeping procedures. About You: Recent graduate with a degree in Geography, Urban/Town Planning, Business, Economics or a related field. Strong analytical and research skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passionate about economic development and community improvement.
