We are seeking a Commis Chef to join our Castle Carvery team in Rackheath, where you will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.

As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting in the food preparation process, cooking and preparing elements of high-quality dishes, and maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
* Assisting in food preparation
* Cooking and preparing elements of high-quality dishes
* Preparing vegetables, meats, and fish
* Assisting other Chefs
* Helping with deliveries and restocking
* Assisting with stock rotation and cleaning stations
Essential skills:
* Good work ethic and ability to work as part of a busy team
* Enjoyment of a busy environment
* Flexible approach to the working week
* Methodical and clean worker
Ideal skills:
* Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards
* Minimum 6 months relevant experience
* Awareness of manual handling techniques
* Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
* Experience of kitchen equipment
* Experience of dangerous equipment such as knives
