About the Role:
My client is looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join their team in Belfast or Durham. The ideal candidate will have experience writing tenders and bids for large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically within the EV charging, ICP (Independent Connection Provider), and utilities sectors.
As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for leading the bid process, writing high-quality proposals, and ensuring that submissions meet client requirements, deadlines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Bid Management: Lead the full bid process for EV, ICP, utility, and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with tender requirements.
* Proposal & Contract Writing: Draft, review, and refine contracts and proposals for Data/Electrical Networks, EV Infrastructure, LV/HV substations, and Civil Engineering.
* Tender Submission: Manage timely, high-quality submissions of tenders, PQQs, and supporting documents, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, senior leadership, and Business Development to gather insights and align bid strategies.
* Bid Strategy: Develop strategies to maximise bid success and support company growth.
* Market Research: Conduct daily tender searches and research clients/sectors to tailor proposals.
* RFI & Clarifications: Respond to RFIs, analyse tenders, and clarify requirements.
* Competitive Intelligence: Track industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to enhance bid quality.
* Content Development: Create case studies and compile data for stronger bid submissions.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure proposals are accurate, compliant, and consistent
Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Bid Management: Experience managing bids in EV, ICP, and utilities sectors.
* Bid Writing: Skilled in crafting high-quality, technically accurate tenders.
* Project Management: Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
* Industry Knowledge: Understanding of EV charging, ICP, and utilities.
* Attention to Detail: Ensures compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
* Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Commercial Acumen: Knowledge of pricing strategies and contract terms.
* IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and bid management software.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
