Clinical Fellow in Acute and General Medicine

We are seeking to recruit a number of Clinical Fellow vacancies within General Medicine based at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. These posts are fixed term for up to 24 months from August 2025, full time 1WTE (40 hours per week). Please note this post may also attract a Banding supplement.
You will work across acute medicine and your interested specialist ward at junior middle grade level. You will have the opportunity to manage a range of acute medical problems and to develop your clinical leadership within these areas. You will have the opportunity to develop clinical skills aligned with acute medicine and to practice them regularly. You will be expected to manage patients as a senior decision maker under the guidance of a consultant physician. There is also the opportunity to participate in a range of specialty outpatient clinics.
In addition to clinical management, we would expect you to develop other roles in the department, such as quality improvement or service development.
Raigmore Hospital, Inverness is a modern approx. 454 bed hospital and is the main referral centre for the Highlands of Scotland - a wonderful area in which to live and work, with exceptional outdoor recreational opportunities. It serves a population of approximately 300,000 distributed over a very large area, which poses particularly interesting challenges in the delivery of health care. The hospital is equipped to an extremely high standard, with full diagnostic facilities, a modern Postgraduate Centre and excellent library facilities.
