Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking to recruit a qualified practitioner into the Stockton CAMHs Getting More Help Team. The successful candidate will be well-motivated and forward-thinking and become a valued member of our extensive and experienced team - working with young people and their families with mental health challenges.
We are committed to delivering high quality patient-centred care and pride ourselves on good team working skills. It is therefore important that the successful candidate is a flexible team player and holds excellent interpersonal and communication skills to meet the needs of the patients, carers, families, and the partners with whom we work.
You will work closely with other members of the MDT and provide supervision and support to colleagues.
Candidates must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.
Main duties of the job
The team is multi-disciplinary and provides specialist assessments, treatment, and interventions for young people suffering from moderate to severe complex emotional, behavioural, and psychological issues resulting in mental health problems.
Ideally, the candidates will already be trained in a governed evidence-based therapy such as CBT, DBT, or SFP, or be trained as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP). Experience of working clinically with children and young people with Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental needs is essential.
However, the team is currently in a position to be able to help staff develop the knowledge and experience within CAMHS and offer additional training as appropriate to the role.
If you enjoy working within an experienced team who are passionate about supporting children and young people's mental health, enjoy a challenge, and have a flexible approach, then we would like to hear from you. You will work as part of a growing team and will need to be confident in your own clinical decision-making skills. You will work with a range of professionals from various agencies including social care, acute care, and a range of community and voluntary sector partners.
