Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Marine Technical Manager, Logistics based in Aberdeen. This will be a PAYE contract role until March 2026, with potential for extension thereafter.
Responsibilities:
* Safety, security and sustainability performance and follow up in marine vessel and operations contexts.
* Responsible to assure the verification of marine vessels according to current legislation, industry standards and requirements of Classification Societies.
* Provide input to and maintain the framework for vessel specification, integrity and safe operations including responsibility as author of governing documentation.
* Assigned marine vessel contracts Company Representative role in direct liaison with an assigned Contract Representative and focal points within key contractors. Responsible for the risk and follow up plan with key contractors and leading regular performance reviews and addressing key risks and solving complex tasks together.
* As Fisheries Liaison Officer, you are responsible for maintaining relationships with OEUK, Fishing Industry bodies and the business such that the company adheres to the requirements of UKCS regulations and standards for safe operations at sea.
* Marine vessel performance monitoring including technical effectiveness, emission management and budget/cost focus.
* Implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.
* Represent company Logistics at local Industry, supplier and peer collaboration forums.
Specific Requirements:
* Seagoing marine experience in a senior officer position is required.
* Significant relevant experience in similar role preferred.
* Shape and lead on safety, security, and performance improvement frameworks.
* Comprehensive understanding of Logistics processes, industry standards, performance acceptance criteria and target setting.
* Track record in leadership and people development.
* Ability to prioritize and influence situations of conflicting priorities and perspectives.
* Understand performance and governance requirements including emergency response protocols.
* Building industry and cross business networks to promote logistics operations and safety standards.
* Ability to deliver on Company values and promote "I am Safety" and security expectations.
