Base Location: Lerwick Power Station Salary: £41,583 - £48,296 (for candidates who hold all relevant authorisations there is the potential to earn up to £54,154) depending on experience a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Onsite The role We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join the Lerwick Power Station's Maintenance team. This role involves overseeing daily electrical maintenance, collaborating with Maintenance and Operations teams for safe, reliable, and efficient station operations. You will - Install, maintain, overhaul, diagnose, and repair various modern power generation equipment and auxiliaries for safe and reliable operations. - Maintain advanced technical plant and equipment at the Power Station, ensuring compliance with legislative, environmental, and safety standards. - Proactively promote and engage with the company's safety culture to ensure all team members go home safely each day. You have - An ONC or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification. - Previous technical experience of power generation equipment, HV and LV rotating plant, transformers, switchgear, motor control gear and ancillary equipment is desirable. - Excellent communication, analytical and technical skills as you will liaise directly with clients, management, apprentices, contractors and other technicians on a daily basis.
