DCT Recruitment are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Site Engineer to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project.
Responsibilities:
1.Team Management:
•Lead Engineer and Technician teams, manage their activities for installation processes.
•Manage subcontractor teams, providing direction to ensure smooth progress in installation processes.
•Maintain site organization and optimize workflow efficiency throughout the installation process.
•Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure steady workflow and project alignment.
•Collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions for on-site challenges.
2.Installation Oversight:
•Supervise the installation of machinery and equipment.
•Supervising the execution of works in accordance with project plans, technical specifications and standards.
•Supervise daily installation operations, follow project plans, and organize necessary employment, equipment, and resources.
•Ensure installation activities align with project specifications, technical standards, within budgets and quality requirements.
•Provide technical expertise to resolve installation-related issues quickly and effectively.
3.Quality Improvement:
•To guide regular quality inspections with Quality teams to ensure that installation work meets high-quality standards.
•Identify quality issues on-site, provide feedback to relevant teams, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
•Plan and track corrective actions in case of project deviations or errors.
•Provide regular updates to engineers and managers, detailing project advancements, encountered issues, and resolution processes.
•Guide Quality teams for document completion of installation activities through inspection reports and testing records for project handover preparation.
4.Safety Compliance:
•Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and standards.
5.Problem-Solving:
•Address any issues that arise during installation or operation.
•Collaborate with technical teams to find solutions.
6.Documentation:
•Maintain detailed records of installation processes and equipment specifications.
•Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports for management on project status and outcomes.
Skills Required
•Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Engineering.
•Minimum 5 years' experience in paper industry.
•Strong technical knowledge of machinery and installation processes.
•Knowledge of safety and quality control standards.
•Excellent project management and organizational skills.
•Effective communication and leadership abilities.
•Problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
•Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
•Valid equivalent CSCS Card.
