My client is currently on the lookout for a talented and passionate Structural Engineer with commercial experience in the construction industry!
Structural Technicians are responsible for creating 3D models using Revit, as well as creating 2D GA’s directly from the model. All models and drawings are to be produced in conjunction with the quotation, scope, deliverables, and in line with requirements.
Key Functions of the role:
* Efficient and precise 3D models using preferred software (currently Revit), aligning with project requirements and client design specifications.
* 2D & 3D drawings for manufacturing purposes.
* Accurate general arrangements (GA), layouts, sections, elevations, and details to meet project-specific standards and client library requirements.
* Accurate utilisation of design information on client portals.
* Adherence to design program durations when necessary.
* Effective design support to manufacturing and construction teams, delivering prompt and clear responses to queries and information requests.
* Management of control documents and timely raising to maintain program and budget integrity.
* Usage of digital systems.
* Incorporation of third parties' comments on drawings.
* Completion of any other reasonable duties instructed by the Company. Understand project goals and identify opportunities for optimal solutions.
* Clear and concise communication internally and externally.
* Daily tasks and outputs, providing necessary reports.
* Prioritisation of tasks.
What We Expect:
* Experience and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent software to generate precise and detailed models and drawings.
* Ability to interpret drawings and utilise information effectively for model and drawing creation.
* Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team to fulfil design requirements.
* Skill in communication with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information.
* Knowledge of industry best practices and ability to acquire information for task completion.
* Attention to detail in model and drawing production, including self-checking capabilities.
* Record of delivering information aligned with specifications and other control documents.
* Understanding of time management principles to ensure timely design outputs.
* Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM).
* Professionalism in representing the company, reflecting the values of the clients.
