Principal software Consultant – Asset Performance Management
Based within AVEVA Southeast Asia engineering service team, The principal software consultant – Asset Performance Management is a key position ensuring success customer adoption of AVEVA asset performance management software family. The role is accountable for delivering high quality professional technical support and services to both external customers and various internal functions such as sales, product support, technical sales, and customer success team. Top professional service quality is always AVEVA’s key differentiator, and the role requires intensive customer facing, hence the key success factors of the role are rich industrial domain knowledge, analytical problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills. Being part of the bigger APAC service family, the role may be required to travel at short notice as a representative of the company wherever necessary to deliver support & services, mainly in the APAC region.
The daily job and responsibilities of the role includes but not limited to:
1. Lead project implementation of predictive analytics solutions, asset maintenance strategy optimization or similar APM related product into the process industry, ensure best project execution quality, build up relationship with end user.
2. Perform data analytics on plant equipment operation data with AVEVA Predictive Analytics software, apply rich industrial machinery operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostic knowledge to convert predictive analytics model output into logical early warning signs of equipment failure. Draft report with analysis, diagnostic, recommendations, prescriptive actions and discuss with customer’s equipment owner.
3. Apply Reliability Engineering principles, methodologies and tools to help customer maximize equipment productivity.
4. Work closely with internal consultant / Subject Matter Expert to ensure engineering / practice standard are applied.
5. Provide training to customers on standard software enablement, best practice engineering service approaches on APM products, actively provide input to the product development group to continuously enhance the product suite.
6. being an industrial expert, lead consulting sessions, workshops to understand customer’s challenge in their daily operation, maintenance, contribute credibly from technical aspect to build up technical competence / trust in front of customer, work closely with various internal functions to translate customer requirement / challenges into fit for purpose software / service offer.
7. Support Sales Team from technical aspect to secure deals, support customer success team to keep customer engagement and ensure success adoption. Build up long term trust with customer.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications / experiences are expected:
8. Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical or related engineering field.
9. At least 10 years’ experiences in mechanical field involved with machinery engineering, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, failure analysis related work from process industry, direct end user experience is a plus point.
10. Rich knowledge in major rotating equipment types from process industry.
11. Proficient in rotating equipment condition monitor, vibration analysis software and techniques. Certified vibration analyst is a plus point.
12. Hands on experience with common industry operation, control, maintenance, condition monitor related software.
13. Experience working in multifunctional team, multi-tasking and active team player. Analytical, problem-solving skills and can-do attitude.
14. Good teamwork and communication skills, able to perform in a culture diversified, cross time zone team environment.
15. Bilingual language is an added advantage.
