Company Overview
CPI Mortars were pioneers within the UK construction materials industry in the late 1990s with the construction of the UK’s first dry mortar plant. It is now the only national dry mortar producer operating across a network of nine EuroMix manufacturing plants. EuroMix dry mortars, renders, plasters, and concretes are used by the major construction companies in the UK on housing, industrial, educational, and infrastructure projects.
CPI also operates a state-of-the-art bagging operation at Carlton Manufacturing which supplies the merchant and contractors’ market with a range of bagged ready-to-use concrete, mortar, and fence post mixes.
CPI are part of the Grafton Group Plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and provides us with terrific support as the parent company.
Job Description
You will be part of our terrific Operations Team, supporting a market-leading business by providing important support to a busy operational business.
This is a great opportunity for candidates keen to support a fast-moving and hands-on business by providing support on key day-to-day tasks within the factory.
Our hours range from 6 am to 10 pm, and you are not contracted to work weekends (there is an opportunity to work weekends for enhanced pay).
Key Responsibilities
1. Working from a fully equipped mobile workshop, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing specialist mortar mixing equipment to a consistently high standard.
2. Full training will be given, providing you with an extensive skill set spanning both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
3. You will be responsible for training our customer’s operatives in the use of the equipment using a structured training system.
4. Customer care will be your principal priority in ensuring market-leading service.
Job Requirements
Don’t worry if you don’t have all the requirements; we look for a well-organised approach and a willingness to excel. We will support you with any training needed.
1. Previous mechanical or electrical fitting experience would be beneficial but not essential.
2. Full UK driving licence suitable for a 3.5t van.
3. Ability to communicate effectively within a key customer service role.
