Economics is one of the most popular sixth-form options at Charterhouse, with more than 190 students currently in the department. Located in the Beveridge Centre, at the very heart of the school, we have six specialist members of staff working across five dedicated classrooms, recently joined by the superb, collaborative facilities of the Charterhouse Business Hub, a centre for entrepreneurship and research opened in 2023. A number of staff members within the department also teach business and entrepreneurship, and experience in one of these subject areas would be an advantage.
Charterhouse offers a generous remuneration package and other benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, a death-in-service benefit, and a School Sports Club membership.
Charterhouse is a beautiful school in a 250-acre campus – a wonderful setting for the whole community to live and work together and a splendid backdrop for teaching and learning.
Founded in 1611, Charterhouse is one of the world’s leading coeducational independent schools, welcoming boarders and day pupils at 13+ entry and 16+ entry.
