Head of Medical Oncology (Diplomate) Southfields Veterinary Specialists is currently recruiting for a Head of Medical Oncology. We are seeking a colleague to lead our established and world-leading Oncology team. The successful candidate should be keen to drive and enhance the service for our patients and clients. We have a strong oncology team with two board-certified (one double boarded in Oncology and Radiation) oncologists, an Oncology Intern and a team of dedicated Oncology nurses. Our brand-new state- of- the- art hospital has a dedicated Oncology suite with two chemotherapy rooms and a Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerator with IMRT/VMAT and Stereotactic ability on-site. We also have interventional oncology capabilities. The hospital teams include European and American boarded specialists and board-eligible consultants in Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Exotics and ECC. The practice encourages a collegiate atmosphere and offers excellent opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration, advancement of skills and clinical research. This is an exciting time to join Southfields in our superb purpose-built hospital with dedicated Oncology wing. This is an opportunity to drive direction of and innovation within, the Oncology service and to lead an exceptional team. There will be opportunities to run a Residency programme and pursue clinical research if desired. Your role and responsibilities You need to be a highly motivated self-starter with the following attributes: European or American Diploma in Oncology Ability to lead a high-performing team Desire to provide the best clinical service to all patients Innovative approach to providing cancer care Ability to drive caseload and grow the Oncology Service. Role model excellent service delivery and collegiate behaviour Participation in an out of hours rota (Oncology only) is required.
