More detail about the role We are looking for highly efficient and professional individuals to join our team in the Ophthalmology Department within our Surgical Services Division. There are two vacancies available at this time. One based in Wonford, the other based in Heavitree. As a vital member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for ensuring that patient appointments are scheduled accurately, information is kept up-to-date, and all tasks are completed in a timely manner. In this role, you will need to demonstrate a high level of adaptability, reliability and the ability to multi-task along with being an excellent team player. You will be working alongside a diverse group of professionals, from medical staff to patients, and will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth communication within the department. As the first point of contact for patients, empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential to provide a supportive and welcoming experience for everyone you interact with. Being able to prioritise and manage your time effectively will be essential in this fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. The role is both office based and patient facing therefore you will need to be flexible and adapt to the different environments.
