Join Close Brothers Central FP&A Team where you will support with the exit of CBAM (Close Brothers Asset Management) from the group, assisting the bank to forecast, track and deliver programmes to optimise the outcomes and ensure a painless transition to the new structure which has been announced to the market. You will also support with the delivery of projects across the centre of the bank, helping consolidate reporting and increasing the value generated through new tools which have been recently rolled out to enhance reporting and accelerating the move to allow self service reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Excellence
* Provide oversight and challenge of operational initiatives with key focus on delivery and business efficiency.
* Work with the operational teams to identify cost savings opportunities as a result of the separation and ensure commitment from all stakeholders to deliver performance improving initiatives.
Business Partnering and Reporting
* Support the programme stakeholders by ensuring that information is accurately reflected and providing insight into future initiatives and strategic direction.
* Monitor the financial targets and performance based on Bank Strategy. Agreeing remedial action with stakeholders where necessary and supporting the delivery of cost saving initiatives
Systems
* Working with the FP&A and development team to enhance the reports in the new TM1 reporting tool, increasing the use of self service reporting by budget holders
Risk & Compliance
Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
* Evidence of taking ownership and ability to prioritise and deal with a wide range of business as usual activities at the same time to meet tight deadlines.
* Demonstrable interpersonal skills which enables you to create, maintain and build on the relationship between the finance and operating teams with a focus on your ability to influence others to create ownership for the deliverables.
* Experience of interpreting service objectives and actions into financial impacts.
* Proven analytical skills and attention to detail; for example, looking at large amounts of data to identify trends.
* Experience of rolling out process improvements to improve efficiency of organisations.
* Advanced MS Office packages, Excel and PowerPoint, excellent written and oral communication.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
* Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items.
* Degree or equivalent
* Demonstrable experience in roles providing financial analysis to the business.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
* TM1 experience
* Service reporting experience
