Ford and Slater are one of the UK’s largest DAF Truck dealer groups with 16 locations from Norwich to Birtley in the North East, employing over 900 staff while remaining a family-run business. We currently have a vacancy for an HGV Workshop Supervisor working the night shift at our Spalding depot.

Who are we looking for as an HGV Workshop Supervisor:
* Previous experience as a Workshop Supervisor, working as a Technician/Mechanic within HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car, or related sectors
* Ideally, have completed a recognized apprenticeship or training program
* Qualified to Level 3 (C&G, NVQ, or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
* Excellent technical knowledge ensuring maintenance and repairs adhere to manufacturer’s procedures
* Sound diagnostic skills for fault identification
* Experience in safety inspections and MOT preparation
* Ability to follow company processes for completing paperwork accurately, including job cards and service records
* Basic computer literacy
* Full UK driving licence
Role responsibilities include:
* Managing a team of HGV Technicians
* Ensuring workshop activities comply with Health and Safety legislation
* Allocating work and completing job cards
* Servicing and maintaining a variety of trucks and vehicles
* Fault diagnostics
* MOT preparation
* Mechanical and electrical repairs
* Ensuring repairs follow manufacturer procedures and safety standards
* Road testing vehicles when required, subject to licence restrictions
* Attending technical and development training
