Arfon Engineering Services is a small business in Wirral. We are a professional and agile team with the goal of providing exceptional engineering services. Our business is established and is part of a large global pump manufacturing organization with workshops in Merseyside and North Wales. Due to continued growth and business expansion, we are looking for pump / electro-mechanical fitters to join our team on a permanent basis. Arfon Engineering (part of the Wilo Group) are specialists in the pump/rotating equipment maintenance and repair industry. We have a highly skilled team of repair and service engineers who supply, install and maintain clients’ pumps and pumping equipment predominantly in the North-west and North Wales, although our services do expand across the UK. We are a well-respected and established business, noted for our quality and support within the industry. We have long-term business with customers such as the NHS, Police, local authorities, water utilities, food, pharmaceutical and many other industrial and commercial customers that require continual support.
We are looking for time-served individuals that have sound electrical and mechanical backgrounds in installation, repair, maintenance, servicing and problem solving, with a good understanding of mechanically and electrically driven pumps and control systems. It would also be advantageous if you have the skill set to rewind and repair industrial electric motors (armature winders).
However, if you do not have any electrical experience or do not have motor rewind experience, we have similar opportunities for mechanical fitters and pump engineers.

Your responsibilities:
1. Undertake pump and other associated equipment repairs within a workshop environment.
2. Undertake other mechanical and electro-mechanical repairs.
3. Attend customer sites, complete diagnostic work & fault finding on pumps and associated equipment. Repair, service and maintain, as required.
4. Provide problem-solving solutions.
5. Undertake routine planned servicing, maintenance, and repairs of clients’ equipment.
6. Undertake and respond to customer repairs, as required.
7. Complete general installations as part of a team or leading a team.
8. Compliance with all health and safety directives.
About you:

5. Experience or background of electro-mechanical plant / control systems, industrial pumps and diesel generators, or a similar industry. Importantly, we would consider an individual who is not fully experienced in all the above but is ready to take the next step up.
We offer:
1. A permanent, full-time position
2. Salary £39,000-£42,000 basic, based upon experience
3. OTE £39K to £60K (based on working overtime)
4. 20 days’ holiday (additional 1 day per year after 3 years’ service to a maximum of 28 days) + bank holidays

Schedule:
1. Monday to Friday 08.30-17.00
2. 2 x 15 min paid breaks plus half-hour lunch break (unpaid)
3. Overtime
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £39,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
