Are you a compassionate and committed individual ready to support young learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing primary school in Barking.
This role involves working closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide personalised support, helping every child reach their full potential academically and socially.
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, tailoring learning materials to their specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver targeted interventions.
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
- Use specialised strategies, such as visual aids or sensory breaks, to promote engagement and learning.
- Monitor and report on student progress, keeping the SENCO and teachers informed.
- Prior experience supporting students with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, empathetic approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
