About the role

Highcliffe St Mark Primary School is looking for a teaching assistant to support in year 1. The successful candidate will join a highly committed and supportive staff team where the children are happy, confident and motivated.
We have a part-time vacancy, (5 mornings, 2 afternoons and 3 lunch duties), totaling approximately 23.84 hours per week, but could offer full-time hours for the right candidate. Term time only, plus some inset days.
Successful candidates should:
* Have experience of working in Primary Schools
* Be committed to relational practice, knowing that strong relationships are the key to good behaviour
* Be passionate about children’s learning and their social, emotional development
* Enjoy working as part of an enthusiastic team
* Have high standards for themselves and for their children
The rate of pay for a teaching assistant is Grade 3 or Grade 5, depending on experience.
Although no qualifications are required, appropriate qualifications and/or experience of working with primary aged children would be an advantage. We do however, welcome applications from those who are able to demonstrate a passion and enthusiasm for working with children. We are willing and able to provide both internal and external training to the right person.
