About the role:
This role will be Midlands based, partnering with the local HR Business Partners and the Site Leadership teams. It will be hybrid working with some travel required. At PepsiCo, we pride ourselves on being a great place to work. You will be the first point of contact for all ER issues for your client groups, acting as a role model encouraging our people to live by our values. You will provide first-class ER support to managers and HR Managers to ensure effective delivery of disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes as well as Code of Conduct/Speak Up investigations.
Responsibilities
* Act as the process expert, providing clear direction to managers to ensure they execute independently.
* Build capability of new/first-time managers ensuring they can deliver the process confidently.
* Develop experienced managers through coaching and training workshops to reduce reliance on ER Advisors.
* Establish Service Level Agreements with key stakeholders and measure performance against the SLAs.
* Deliver specific ER projects/assignments, such as development of handbooks, policies, and procedures.
* Share best practices and case learnings with other ER Advisors to ensure consistency.
* Work effectively with the Occupational Health Team to meet case requirements.
* Engage external partners when necessary to provide workplace assistance.
* Advise on collective consultation requirements and partner with HRM for pay consultation.
* Engage Legal Counsel where required to mitigate risk.
* Build effective working relationships with Trade Unions across sites (where applicable).
* Be an active member of the onsite weekly improvement process, representing HR KPIs.
* Partner with HRBP/Local HR to identify ER patterns/trends that may suggest underlying issues.
Qualifications
* A strong working knowledge of employment policies and legislation, with practical implementation experience or CIPD qualification.
* Ability to take ownership of complex ER issues with limited management input across two locations.
* Strong coaching and counselling skills.
* Able to balance legal risk with business benefit for optimal outcomes on employment-related issues.
* Personal values consistent with PepsiCo values to uphold the Code of Conduct.
* Able to leverage personal influence to promote direct employment relationships.
* Collaboration skills to build effective relationships with all client groups.
* Flexibility to travel and support sites with a 24/7 operation.
