What You'll Do: Work as an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor on a specialist inpatient eating disorders ward. Support the Occupational Therapists in delivering person-centred interventions and feedback any relevant information concerning service users and carers. Be part of a client-centred service where the needs of the individual will determine the intervention. This will mean that the successful postholder will work to engage service users across a variety of therapeutic interventions such as cooking, shopping, social eating and relaxation. These interventions may be carried out in groups or on an individual basis. Plan ahead and prepare for group and 1:1 interventions but remain flexible and adaptable based on service user needs and preferences. Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Record clinical documentation in a timely and organised manner. Work as part of our integrated multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure a seamless and supportive care experience for every individual.
