Ensure the effective maintenance of Building fabric infrastructure, walls, ceilings, doors, fixtures/fittings and protective coverings.
Responsibilities include:
1. Being responsible for their own actions and the actions of any employee working under their control.
2. Consistently delivering clear concise briefing of technical issues to non-technical colleagues on task feedback/PDA or job dockets.
3. Committing to the highest professional values and standards.
4. Having technical accountability for Building fabric systems and repair solutions associated with any building fabric task.
5. Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of fire doors to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
6. Installing fire doors in commercial and residential buildings according to specifications and industry standards.
7. Repairing or replacing fire doors that are damaged, defective, or non-compliant with current standards.
8. Maintaining detailed records of all fire door installations, repairs, and inspections.
9. Working effectively with colleagues, clients, suppliers, or the public, and being aware of the needs and concerns of others, especially regarding diversity and equality.
10. Exhibiting effective interpersonal skills in communicating technical matters.
11. Ensuring that all Company H&S policies and procedures are rigorously followed and promoting this throughout the teams.
12. Working in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices, and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
13. Working safely, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, customers, and visitors.
14. Ensuring compliance with all IMS policies and procedures, including sustainability, quality, and diversity.
15. Providing an excellent customer experience to clients and working in partnership with other trades to support and enhance client relationships.
16. Looking for opportunities to improve the customer experience and making suggestions to your line manager.
17. Behaving in line with and promoting the Company's Values.
18. Consenting to training and development to remain competent to undertake all required tasks.
19. Completing any set objectives on an annual basis in line with the Company's PDR programme and attending regular 1 to 1s and performance reviews with engineering supervisors.
20. Attending Team Talk given by the engineering management each month.
21. Undertaking any reasonable management instruction.
Ideally, candidates should have good experience of BMTrada fire door maintenance and installation standards.
