This role requires up to 3 days per week in the office during the first 3 months. After the first 3 months, you will need to be in the office as per business needs which will be a minimum of once per month.
The office is based in Bradley Stoke, North Bristol, approximately 3 miles from Bristol Parkway station and 1/2 mile from the M4/M5 interchange.
We are delighted to be offering a unique opportunity for a talented .Net Software Developer to join our growing friendly team. We are looking for someone with commercial experience as a .Net Software Developer to join us and be responsible for developing and supporting in-house insurance applications as well as analysing, developing and testing all applications using the appropriate processes, methods and standards.
What you will do
* Undertake analysis, design, programming and testing for the development of new systems and provide support for, and enhancements to, existing systems.
* Produce technical documentation to support the development of new systems.
* Develop relationships with business users to aid full understanding of business requirements and make recommendations as and when required to improve systems.
* Produce accurate estimates and monitor progress against established project milestones, providing regular updates to management on the progress of work.
* Proactively identify and mitigate against project risks.
* Liaise with the Support Desk and the larger team to ensure priorities are being correctly addressed.
* Work through all aspects of the development lifecycle as well as contribute to and implement improvements to best practices, high quality design and development of software.

* Technical proficiency in the following skill sets:

Entity Framework

WPF/MVVM
* Demonstrate a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
* Flexible and able to absorb new information or change in plans in a rapidly changing environment.
* Have an understanding of the principles of software architecture and patterns.
And if you have these additional skills, that would be a bonus
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
* Knowledge of design and software development methodologies.
