Job Description
I currently have an opportunity for an MMA Welder Trainer to join a leading group who offer smart solutions, services and products to the railway industry - pioneers in inspection, maintenance and digitalization to continuously improve processes and extend the lifecycle of rail infrastructure.
The purpose of this role is to provide track training and assessments on the company's premises and other approved training centres where required, based form their Rainham office.
Key responsibilities for this Welder Trainer role:
- Deliver training to a high standard on customer sites.
- Assist with the production of new training material.
- Undertake site assessments on third party welders.
- Provide site support to customers, including reporting of all visits.
- Day to day maintenance of training facilities including equipment, classrooms, training aids and welding stillages.
- To assist where required with other services (Ballast Bonding, Verse measurement and Alphatek removal.
- Provide support to Management for development and testing of new products and processes.
Key requirements for this Welder Trainer role:
- NVQ qualifications for delivering training and assessment.
- Qualified welder to TW5 minimum.
- Sentinel competency in TW1 - TW5 & RT1 - RT5 - mandatory.
- Must have MMA1 - MMA4 competency.
- Knowledge of Network Rail MMA and Flux Cord Automatic Welding (FCAW1 - FCAW4) processes.
- Qualified welding inspector WI.1/2 would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of all Thermit Welding processes.
