The Dept. of Orthotics at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital, Oswestry, is looking for an experienced senior Orthotist to join our large clinical team.
We are looking for a motivated and engaged Orthotist looking to work as part of a forward-thinking clinical team. The applicant needs to have extensive experience in all areas of clinical Orthotics including spinal, gait, and diabetic management. The position is fixed term for 14 months.

Main duties of the job
This role is fully clinical, managing their own caseload of complex patients in all areas of Orthotics. They must have evidenced experience and be fully competent in all areas of Orthotic clinical treatment. They must have worked as part of MDT teams as well as independently. They must also be able to work across the different clinical sites where we provide clinics.
They will also assist in the education of graduate Orthotists, apprentice Orthotists, undergraduate students, as well as more formal teaching and lecture presentations to other departments and professional groups outside of Orthotics.
They will assist in Dept. governance, risk management, policy adherence, and clinical audit, ensuring compliance but also forward-thinking and progression for the team.
They will also engage and participate in Dept. meetings both clinical and general, and also link in with specialist clinical groups as required.
