· Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of products to retailers.
· Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data and market trends to accurately forecast product demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
· Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of raw materials while minimizing excess stock and waste.
· Collaboration: Work closely with operations, procurement, sales, and quality assurance teams to align production plans with business objectives and customer requirements.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity within the planning function.
· Reporting: Generate and present reports on production performance, inventory status, and other key metrics to senior management.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the planning process.
· Leadership: Senior planner supports planning manager in day to day management and support of the planning team.
Profile
· Ideally of 3 years of experience in planning within the fmcg industry
· Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
