We have opportunities to be part of the Build & Car Assembly team in the role of Assembly Technician.
The Key responsibilities of this role are:
1. To build, service and maintain all AMR Sub Assembly car components as required.
2. To maintain the relevant service / Build records of these assemblies.
3. To communicate and document through correct channels any care points or faults found, to increase reliability in the future.
4. To carry out general maintenance on all rigs and equipment needed in the servicing and testing of these assemblies.
5. To be actively involved in any development/test programs associated with these components including initial car build.
6. To attend any events required by the company.
7. To carry out build and general maintenance of pit equipment, tooling and workplace equipment where required.
8. To provide end to end support for the Race Team to ensure all assemblies are available on time and as design intention.
9. To assist in the training of any new members of the department.
10. To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times, and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.
11. Assist any other department if required.
12. Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to your job role.
The Successful candidate must have the following attributes:
1. Possess a thorough understanding of building and servicing all relevant sub-assemblies associated with a current formula one car.
2. Previous experience in Hydraulics and Dampers advantageous.
3. Demonstrate a good working knowledge in understanding assembly drawings and detailed build procedures.
4. Previous experience as a mechanic or similar in a Formula One environment or equivalent high level Motorsport environment.
5. Have the ability to achieve targets within determined timescales.
6. To be self-motivated and able to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
7. Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
8. Ability to demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.
9. Possess an innovative and flexible approach to creative problem solving and possess the ability to work through challenges in a scientific and analytical manner.
10. To communicate effectively, positively, and respectfully with all colleagues.
11. To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
12. Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills.
13. Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
