About the Role:
NES Fircroft is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work on diverse and rewarding projects, utilizing your skills and experience to deliver commercial and financial results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reviewing and Agreeing Variations: Negotiate with clients and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost assessments and efficient project progression.
* Preparing Payment Applications: Process and submit applications in a timely manner, ensuring seamless payment workflows.
* Project Cost Control: Monitor project finances, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving strategies.
* Supporting Team Success: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve financial targets, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
* Contract Administration: Manage contracts, administer payments, and facilitate project growth through effective communication.
* Client and Stakeholder Relations: Develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, fostering trust and cooperation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance processes, contributing to the continuous development and optimization of our operations.
Requirements:
* A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Approximately 5 years' experience in construction or offshore sectors, with a solid understanding of contracts and commercial principles.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
* A willingness to travel occasionally when required.
