Construction Interface Manager (Site Manager)

Job Overview:
Mane Contract Services is seeking experienced Construction Interface Managers (CIMs) to oversee and manage site activities on HVDC or HV substation projects. This role requires TP137/SR163 certification, as it involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, project governance, and quality standards during the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installation and commissioning phases. The CIM will act as the primary site liaison between contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring efficient and compliant project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Governance and Oversight: Lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
* Coordination with PCSM: Work closely with the Principal Contractor Site Manager (PCSM) to manage M&E project activities.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to TP137/SR163 site management requirements, National Grid and SPT standards, and all relevant permits.
* Project Supervision: Oversee field installation superintendents, contract administration, project controls, and procurement during the M&E and commissioning phases.
* Safety & Risk Management: Monitor and analyse project safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, ensuring corrective actions are implemented where necessary.
* Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary site contact for client communications regarding construction progress, safety measures, and compliance.
* Project Documentation: Maintain site records, permits, licenses, and construction reports to ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
Requirements:
* TP137/SR163 certification is required – candidates without this certification cannot be considered.
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Construction Interface Manager in HVDC or HV substation projects.
* Strong knowledge of UK safety regulations (NGET, SPT rules, CDM regulations, and Temporary Works Coordination).
* Extensive experience overseeing Mechanical & Electrical installation and managing subcontractors on high-voltage projects.
* Ability to monitor, report, and take corrective action on project safety, quality, and cost performance.
