We are currently looking for a Security Officer to work at Wexham Park Hospital part of the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff alike. You will undertake general security and car parking duties and will be required to respond to emergency situations. Good communication skills along with clear verbal and written skills are essential. You will need to be flexible, reliable and punctual and be able to work on a rota shift pattern including nights. All successful applicants will be required to undertake external conflict management course arranged by the Trust and sit a basic skills test at interview. There will be a basic Maths and English test if selected for formal interview. Main duties of the job Purpose Of Job The preservation of good order on Trust property, including: The protection of patients, staff, contractors and visitors against violent acts and abuse. The protection of Trust property against loss, theft, damage and waste. The protection of property belonging to patients, staff, visitors and contractors against loss, theft and damage. Monitor the day to day operation of the Trust’s car park facilities for both public and staff. The correct handling and cashing up of all monies taken from the Public car park. To be a member of the Trust’s Helipad Response Team (Frimley Park only) The Security Officer will be required to undertake monitoring and surveillance duties both physical and by CCTV. He/she will also be required when requested to undertake preliminary investigations and the recording of any losses or breeches of Security liaison with the Security Manager. Patrolling of all areas of the site will be necessary, including both the front and rear car parking areas for the purpose of both security and traffic management. Car park management includes supporting staff and visitors from the control room. Monitoring CCTV, dealing with challenging behaviours. Full conflict resolution training will be given. Managing key entrances is also an important part of our duties.
