Maintenance Engineer
£35 - £40 per hour | Monday to Friday Days Role available | Multiple shifts available
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) to join our team on a contract basis. This role is working within a fast-paced, highly automated production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* As a Maintenance Engineer, you will diagnose and rectify electrical, electronic, and control system faults to maintain production efficiency.
* Personally own and follow through on reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring completion or effective shift handover.
* Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations.
* Prioritise health and safety, contributing to hazard reporting and safe working practices.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
* Provide accurate and timely maintenance reports and electrical usage analysis.
* Manage stock levels and follow spares allocation processes.
Requirements:
* Recognised maintenance qualification.
* Strong electrical bias with mechanical experience in a fast-moving, automated production setting.
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial electrical/electronic maintenance environment.
* Ideally, 18th Edition certification.
* Hands-on experience with PPM, fault finding, and repairs in an industrial setting.
* UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with inverters, PLCs, and PC-controlled process/production equipment.
* Background as a Maintenance Engineer in the plastic extrusion or similar industries.
* Previous work in a 24/7 production environment.
