This is anexciting opportunity to work in the Navigo Rehabilitation Team who arededicated to supporting individuals in mental health rehabilitation, promotingempowerment and independence.
Weuse a variety of approaches to enable service users to improve theirindependence, safety and quality of life. From working with individualsresiding at Hope Court (community rehabilitation unit) and Brocklesby Lodge(inpatient rehabilitation) as well as in their own homes to provide practicaland educational support and compensatory strategies to enable them to do whatthey need, want and like to do. We create plans with people to support them toachieve their goals and aspirations.
Main duties of the job
Thesuccessful applicant will directly line manage the rehabilitation Therapy team,as well as be directly involved in the assessment and delivery of identifiedoccupational needs of the individuals using the service.
You will beexpected to:
Hold acaseload in which you will be expected to manage autonomously and usingprioritisation skills to ensure people are seen in a timely manner toappropriately manage any risks.
Assess,develop, implement and evaluate OT care plans using a person centred approachwith individuals using the service.
Liaise andeffectively communicate with all people involved in an individual's care,including consultants, AC/RC, social workers, nurses, Assistant Practitioners,carers and family members.
Promoteand develop innovative and creative ways of working using the resourcesavailable to achieve the possible care and outcomes.

Job responsibilities
To beresponsible for coordinating and developing the rehabilitation OT service underthe supervision of the OT Clinical Lead
Toautonomously manage and deliver an effective, evidence based occupationaltherapy (OT) service to people diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness/ mentalhealth problem who are resident within the locality and in receipt ofrehabilitation services.
To beresponsible for specialist OT assessment, developing, implementing andevaluating therapy plans using a person-centred approach and incorporating theRecovery Star.
To providesupervision for junior OT staff within the rehabilitation service.
To educate,advise and recommend appropriate person-centred activity programmes which willenhance service users quality of life and participation in meaningfulactivities.
As a memberof a multi-disciplinary team, be involved in liaising and effectivelycommunicating with all relevant parties.
To promoteinnovative and creative ways of working with service users/carers with complexneeds.
Effectivelymanage the resources available to achieve the best possible care and outcomesfor service users
Createa stimulating and productive working and learning environment for themselves,colleagues and students

1. Ability to demonstrate maintenance of CPD and ongoing learning.
2. Evidence of developed communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with a range of people on a range of matters in a form that is appropriate to them and the situation
