The post holder should be flexible, hard working. and able to deal with a high demand service. The successful post holder should have an awareness of COSHH and manual handling. Decontamination and cleaning of all equipment returned to store to set procedures and guidelines and to ensure each items of equipment that is cleaned by the machine is logged accordingly Visually check equipment prior to and after decontamination using checklists and established procedures and arrange for repair Ensuring equipment leaves stores with appropriate safety notices and user instructions included. Responsible for safe and secure storage of all Decontamination materials (toxic and non-toxic) Receiving checking and signing for incoming goods both from external deliveries and other stores in the district. Assisting in loading and unloading if vehicles in accordance with the Trusts Manual Handling Policy Keeping Warehouse and car park area in a clean and tidy condition in accordance with Risk assessment and Health and Safety regulations In accordance with the Trust manual handling policy, to move equipment, furniture and goods as required to meet the needs of the service. Identifying any deficiencies or defect in mechanical aids, equipment and motorised vehicles and repairing where necessary or if unable to repair, arranging repairs with a contractor. To clean, check and repair if necessary some items of pressure relieving equipment Decommissioning of equipment which is in a state of disrepair, making sure scrap records are kept and updated accordingly Deliver, set-up and commission items of loan store equipment such as Community Care beds (mechanical), profiling beds (electrical), pressure care mattresses (electrical) and to demonstrate the equipment and instruct patients/carers in its safe usage. To assist in decommissioning of equipment and removal of cardboard, scrap etc. Work on a rota basis. This duty includes key holding responsibility for the building. Carry out other such duties as may be reasonable, required across the company. Participate, through appraisal, in matching organisational aims with personal objectives and supporting staff within own area of responsibility to do the same. Take responsibility for their own and others health and safety in the working environment.
