An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Care of the Elderly Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting the secretarial team in providing an efficient and effective typing/clerical service.
You must have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a flexible approach and be able to work under your own initiative. You will need to be a dedicated team player who has the ability to work professionally at all times and the determination to be part of the leadership team and work with the administrative and clerical staff throughout the Trust. Excellent communication and customer care skills are expected. As this is a very busy department, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines is key. You will provide an efficient, courteous and professional service at all times. Knowledge of the healthcare/organisation environment is desirable.
Main duties of the job
The successful individual will provide audio typing/clerical and administrative work supporting the admin/clinical team so that patients requiring outpatient consultation/inpatient stay do so in a streamlined process that matches their needs to that of the referring Consultant, GP or other Healthcare Professional.
The individual will become part of a hardworking friendly team who support each other and treat everyone with respect.
