We are looking for a highly motivated, committed, experienced registered nurse to work within our busy Gynaecology Outpatient Department.

In gynaecology, as well as gynaecological oncology, we provide general clinics and speciality clinics in urogynaecology, menopause, vulval disorders, pelvic pain, colposcopy, outpatient hysteroscopy (including procedures) and urodynamics.
We are a recognised Endometriosis centre and offer many clinics to support this service. This role includes access to all these clinics so your knowledge and experience can be built upon. We have a well-equipped dedicated gynaecology theatre with a modern laparoscopic stack and access to Robotic surgery. The busy early pregnancy unit runs from our Gynaecology ward.
Main duties of the job
The key aspect of your role involves being the patient's advocate during appointments, providing support and comfort as well as offering nursing skill during procedures and examinations. You must demonstrate professional standards of care and having opportunity to work with many different clinicians and clinical experts in various clinics, excellent communication and interpersonal skills is paramount.
You will provide clinical, social, and psychological support to your patient group using advanced communication skills, education, and health promotion to enable them to reach an optimum level of independence and health.
You will be responsible for providing evidence-based practice, and will have responsibility for the development of care systems, protocols, and guidelines working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and developing excellent interdepartmental relationships with excellent communication with a focus on quality improvement.
You will lead and promote programs of health education and health promotion relevant to service and work within national policy frameworks relevant to the service and trust local guidance.
