We're looking for a talented and experienced Media Sales Manager (Head of Category) who will be responsible for leading a team of ~6 Media Sales individuals and is accountable for ~200 client relationships. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about building and working in a commercially driven, fast paced and dynamic team and is excited to drive growth through a media sales strategy which identifies the role SMEs can play in using Tesco Media advertising solutions to differentiate their brand in Tesco.
Focused on selling to our SME's and accountable for team people management, you will be responsible for our total commercial performance across a designated set of categories and with direct accountability for sales to key clients.
You will manage a team who directly sell online and offline retailer media solutions to a wide variety of advertisers. Your team will be accountable for meeting and exceeding targets through offering retailer media solutions across desktop, mobile, programmatic, CRM & stores to leading CPGs.
To deliver quality work that meets the client's needs and addresses their business problems, driving revenue and long-term sustainable commercial growth.
To play a leading and inspiring role within the wider media business and regularly be involved with driving self-serve adoption for new clients, as well as driving growth for the top tier clients within your book of business, approaching these with both a customer first and commercial mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own accountability for the management of your team's sales pipeline & forecast to ensure ambitious quarterly and annual revenue targets are hit or exceeded.
* Own accountability for top 50 clients in your book of business, working with your team on the delivery of end-to-end media sales, driving best-in-class ways of working with the client, identifying where self-serve v managed service is appropriate.
* Lead your team with a motivational and inspirational attitude; own responsibility for day to day management of your team, accountable for performance, development and professional satisfaction.
* Manage risk effectively, provide visible and consistent leadership on our Values and Code of Business Conduct and act where you see issues.
* Protect our team by ensuring they have the skills and all training needed.
* Passionately advocate and model the delivery of first-class customer service to your client base, holding yourself & your team to the highest standards.
* Pitch confidently, presenting proposals/business cases to clients at a senior level with your team.
* Drive adoption of self-serve and digital first solutions.
We are looking for:
* Someone who has a proven track record of managing large and complex client portfolios and is passionate about working in Retail Media with the UKs largest retailer.
* Passionate about and able to build high growth commercial strategies and deliver stretching financial targets, should have strong commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets and forecast.
* Experience of building and leading a high performing, engaged and fun team who live the dunnhumby values.
* Strong stakeholder management skills - a team player with an ability to build trusted internal and external relationships.
* Experience working with retailers and/or brands.

* A consultative style with the ability to understand clients' business needs and position solutions in a timely and personalised way.
* Extensive knowledge of brand, performance & digital marketing ecosystems and performance metrics.
* A team player with the ability to collaborate with internal departments and teams.
