We have an exciting opportunity for an Alliance Programme Planner to join the Alliance PMO within the Storm Overflows Alliance at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The Alliance PMO within the Storm Overflows Alliance function are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
In AMP8, Asset Delivery PMO will support a multi-billion pound programme of capital investment across YW’s clean and wastewater assets. The Capital Programme is growing by over 50% as we move into AMP8 and the delivery of it is being split into two distinct delivery areas one of which is our Storm Overflows Alliance. The Alliance Planner, as an integral member of the Alliance PMO within the Storm Overflows Alliance, will play a critical role in the successful delivery of this programme by optimising and driving forward a robust plan
Where you fit in:
As our Alliance Programme Planner you will;
• Create and maintain end to end Project schedules for optimised programme delivery, monitoring and reporting on progress against baseline.
• Ensure schedules adhere to Alliance NEC guidelines.
• Carry out ‘what-if’ scenario planning of sites to ensure the optimum schedule is achieved.
• Facilitate cohesion of different elements of the plan supplied by relevant stakeholders and suppliers, while managing the interfaces between them.
• Predict and influence programme performance by proactively identifying possible delivery risks before they occur and support in the development of mitigation plans.
• Provide Programme Intelligence on delivery progress to facilitate better decision making.
• Work closely with the Alliance PMO particularly on cost, risk and change management to provide a fully integrated performance approach.
• Understand and develop best practice and innovation supported with measuring and monitoring the implementation of these new ideas.
• Support other work as needed to ensure successful Programme delivery.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
• Significant experience in utilising various planning tools including P6 Primavera. Experience in all aspects of planning and scheduling Including but not limited to;
o Work Breakdown structure creation
o Preparation and update of logic linked programme
o Baseline management
o Critical path analysis
o Preparation of periodic reports
o An understanding of Risk management and change management
o Experience of implementing EVM and cost loaded schedules across a large complex and diverse programme
o Experience of progress measurement, completion forecasting and status reporting
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences
• Excellent people skills
• Ability to challenge undesired behaviours appropriately
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships across the wider teams
You will also benefit from having:
• Experience of working within an Alliance or using Project 13 methodologies
• Previous experience gained within the water industry or within the broader utilities or construction industry
• Experience of working with complex commercial and contractual challenges
• Knowledge of Project Controls tools and principals.
We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 2 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
