What you’ll do:
1. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support business profitability and expansion.
2. Management Reporting: Provide accurate and insightful reports to facilitate key decision-making processes.
3. Journal Preparation: Prepare month-end and year-end journals with precision and efficiency.
4. Management Accounts: Generate detailed Management Accounts to assist in strategic planning and execution.
5. Budgeting: Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process, aligning with the business goals.
6. Capital Expenditure Management: Oversee capital expenditure to optimise resources.
7. Financial Statements: Produce comprehensive financial statements, including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and insightful commentaries.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
9. Team Leadership: Guide and motivate the wider team to achieve excellence in financial operations.
10. Customs Compliance: Take ownership of customs bonded warehouse compliance with HMRC regulations.
11. Process Improvement: Review accounting processes and practices, identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency.
Skills & Knowledge Specification:
1. Minimum of 3 years experience in a related finance role.
2. CIMA or AAT Level 4 Qualified.
3. Strong proficiency in Excel and good data reporting experience.
4. Commitment to meeting deadlines with accurate information.
5. Great attention to detail and a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
6. Familiarity with accounting software systems, with experience using Xero being advantageous.
7. Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
