Job Title: Territory Manager (Lincs/Cambs)
Salary: Basic salary £38-45k + quarterly bonus
Our client is an established leading supplier of packaging machinery, consumables and printed labels to the fresh produce and food processing industries. Their expanding customer base includes all major supermarkets, global food manufacturers and a wide range of food service, industrial and fresh produce companies.
Development of the business has uncovered a need for a Territory Manager to commit to building a strong customer base of growers, importers and packers in the East of the country. Responsible for prospecting and selling new business within this region, you will establish and maintain client relationships at a high and professional level. This client firmly believes in providing clients with custom-tailored and dedicated services instead of a "one-size-fits-all" approach.
You will be expected to:
1. Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within the Lincolnshire/Cambridgeshire area
2. Identify local business opportunities and challenges
3. Report on regional sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually)
4. Present products and services to prospective clients
5. Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions
6. Answer customer questions about products and services
7. Cross-sell products, when appropriate
8. Collaborate with sales representatives from different territories to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach
This role requires someone with a robust knowledge of all packaging consumable products provided by our client as well as articulating and advising prospective clients on how best to utilise the product offering.
The art of selling will be second nature to you, and you will have characteristics of both a hunter and a farmer. 60% of this role will be dedicated to account management, and the rest of your efforts will focus on developing business.
