We are seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our Clients team based in Birmingham.
Working across domestic and communal installations, you will carry out reactive maintenance, remedial work, planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), and electrical testing.
You will be a key player in delivering high-quality services to tenants and contributing to the overall safety and compliance of properties.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform reactive maintenance, remedial work, and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on domestic and communal electrical systems.
+Conduct testing and certification, including EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) and Minor Works Certificates.
+Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, carry out electrical upgrades, and oversee work completed by contractors.
+Complete void property refurbishments as required.
+Collaborate with other in-house trades teams to ensure all works are completed to a high standard.
+Work on central heating controls, Building Management Systems (BMS), and associated systems.
+Aim to complete responsive repairs on the first visit whenever possible.
+Maintain accurate electronic records via handheld systems, including forms and processes.
+Communicate effectively with tenants, ensuring their needs are understood and met with excellent service.
On-Call Responsibilities:
*Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
*Receive a standby fee of £80 for on-call shifts.
*Earn door-to-door rates when attending call-outs, with enhanced hourly rates for weekends and bank holidays.
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a fully qualified L3 electrician including C&G 2391 inspection & testing
*Experience conducting EICRs and issuing Minor Works Certificates
*Valid UK driving license
