Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: To £45,000 per annum, plus benefits and excellent career opportunities
Hours: 4 On 4 Off 12 Hour Shifts (4 Days, 4 Off, 4 Nights)
Location: Ebbsfleet Valley Area - Commutable from Gravesend, Greenhithe, Strood, Rochester, Aylesford, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Bromley, South Ockenden, Erith, Orpington, West Malling, Tonbridge and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work within a large company at one of their premium factories on the south side of the Thames in Kent. This is a multi-skilled environment with both electrically and mechanically biased Maintenance Engineers working effectively together, sharing knowledge and experience to get the work done. Responsibilities
The Maintenance Engineers will cover both electrical and mechanical maintenance work across the factory and are encouraged and supported to develop their weaker side. Your main role is supporting all production machinery, which includes diagnosing and troubleshooting breakdowns and machinery problems, together with undertaking planned preventative maintenance and project work, such as new installations.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Multi-skilled, experienced in undertaking breakdown troubleshooting and planned maintenance as a Maintenance Engineer or Service Engineer, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, production, or automated environments.
- Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold engineering qualifications at NVQ/C&G Level 3 in mechanical or electrical.
- Good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across some of the following: Motors, Belts, Bearings, Chains, Gears, Pumps, Boilers, Sensors, Inverters, Relays, Contactors, 3 Phase machinery, PLCs, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Steam systems.
- Multi-skilled across electrical and mechanical - either bias is welcome; additional electronics skills, especially fault finding to component level, are very useful.
- Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Proactive work attitude and always keen to get stuck in.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions.
