Marshfields School is a 191-place special provision for students aged 7 – 19 with Learning Difficulties. We had our most recent Ofsted inspection in September 2023 and we are extremely pleased that the overall effectiveness of the school has been graded as Good and the school has been recognised for all the hard work that goes on every day here.
Every student at the school has an Education, Healthcare Plan (EHCP). Typical levels of triangulated functioning include:
* A cognitive profile at or below 2nd percentile
* Attainment in the core subjects will be significantly below chronological age expectations (at least four years behind, but no more than 6 years below their peers)

* A good understanding of the principles and practices of SEND education, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills in this area.
* A creative and flexible approach with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and abilities.
* A positive and enthusiastic attitude, motivated to inspire students.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Marshfields School is a successful Y3 to Y14 Special School for students with complex learning difficulties. Small classes mean that our teachers get to know the needs of all individuals in their care and plan the curriculum accordingly. Marshfields students are well motivated and eager to learn with excellent levels of attendance. Student outcomes and behaviour are good.
We are a designated hub school for Peterborough, providing CPD and expertise in Moderate Learning Difficulties provision across the city.
