I am currently working with a well-established supported living provider to recruit an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead services for adults with learning disabilities and additional needs across Essex.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Maintain registration with CQC and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Act as the Nominated Individual, liaising directly with CQC.
Oversee quality assurance systems in line with the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
2. Leadership & Operations
Provide visible, strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary head office team including Service Managers, HR, Training, Finance, and Admin staff.
Lead on recruitment, supervision, training, and performance management.
Promote a positive culture that supports growth, learning, and high staff morale.
3. Service Delivery
Oversee person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
Ensure safe, empowering, and dignified care that supports independence and choice.
Take lead responsibility for safeguarding and medication governance.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals, families, Local Authorities, and external professionals.
Actively contribute to partnership working across health and social care networks.
What We're Looking For:
1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care (or equivalent).
2. Proven experience in a Registered Manager or senior leadership role in a supported living or similar adult care setting.
3. In-depth understanding of the regulatory and legislative landscape (CQC, Care Act, MCA).
4. Strong people leadership skills and financial management experience.
5. A proactive, resilient, and compassionate leader committed to person-centred care.
6. Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
