Overview:
As a Business Analyst within Blackhawk Network’s regulated entity GVSPE, you will play a key role in analyzing and solving business problems with automated solutions, working in a global, matrixed, and fast-paced environment. This self-motivated, driven individual will utilize their exceptional project management skills and technical background to manage technology and regulatory initiatives. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, as well as global security, product, and engineering teams, to configure system settings, document, develop, and execute projects on the regulated entity’s roadmap. Additionally, you will execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing to ensure business needs are met while maintaining a focus on compliance with regulatory requirements.
This is a 2 year fixed term contract.
Responsibilities:
* Work with the wider team on projects that are many and varied through to completion consistently following policies and procedures in a regulated environment.
* Manage delivery of regulatory & technology initiatives, process mapping & documentation in line with the IT strategy and roadmap.
* Work with cross-functional teams comprising of business operations, product management, engineering, vendors, and support teams to ensure on time, on budget, quality delivery of solutions that support business and technology strategy.
* Develop strong working relationships in the business and technology teams over time. Take ownership of project tasks and work with global teams to document and ensure the gaps are remediated and evidenced.
* Conduct gap analysis against requirements and work with global teams to obtain information and gather evidence to ensure gaps are filled in an organised structured manner.
* Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, work with stakeholders to reconcile conflicting information, identify/evaluate potential risks, and translate high-level information into useful/actionable written documentation.
* Ability to communicate (written and verbal) at all levels (business and technology leadership, project teams, peers, vendors).
* Interest and aptitude to ramp up quickly on new technologies and processes.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related experience.
* Strong technical background desired.
* Ability to draft high quality documentation using existing knowledge specialists from cross functional teams.
* Experience in a regulated environment/formal frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, 9001, 27003 etc.)
* Good understanding of or experience working in the payments industry and ecommerce domain is a plus.
* Self-motivated, creative with a high-level of energy, excellent interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast changing environment.
* Strong attention to detail and focus on ownership & task completion is critical.
* Self-motivated, a positive can-do attitude & willingness to learn, forward thinking, assertive, and able to focus on finding and developing unique opportunities to create value by enabling and engaging in creative dialogue with various key stakeholders.
