Full-Time Housekeeper Vacancy - Lanarkshire
The position of Housekeeper will help maintain the interior of all buildings on the estate, including a historically important main house and annex buildings. The housekeeper must show they are enthusiastic about their work, and can respect the importance of their work environment.
The housekeeper will need to work well within a small friendly team, have an eye for detail and take pride in their work.
Exercising discretion and respecting the privacy of the property, the owners and guests is of the utmost importance.
Responsibilities:
* To clean the rooms of the Main House and annex buildings, using owner designated cleaning materials and solutions,
* To rigorously follow rotational cleaning routines to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of the the house and its contents,
* To ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained across multiple buildings,
* To naturally understand and respect the value and the historical importance of the work environment,
* To provide excellence in personalised care to the principals, their children and guests;
* To help maintain inventories,
* Keep record of cleaning supplies and report to managers when more are needed while properly maintaining cleaning tools and equipment,
* Laundering and ironing of all clothing and bedding,
* Maintaining and organising the contents of wardrobes,
* Changing bedding and bath linen as required,
* Assisting with occasional food preparation as required,
* Running errands, eg, collecting dry cleaning or household shopping,
* The ability to answering the house phone and dealing with callers professionally and courteously,
* Helping other staff to valet family and guest vehicles,
* Assisting other household staff with organizing and managing private functions, lunches and/or dinners, and
* Actively communicating and alerting managers of any maintenance and repairs required.
The Housekeeper will be required to exercise confidentiality, discretion, and respect privacy at all times. We are seeking a candidate who is trustworthy, experienced, and who knows how important it is to pay close attention to detail.
Working hours for the majority of the year are 8am to 5pm, Mon to Fri. Although there will be busier periods where the housekeeper will be required to lead a small team of temporary housekeepers and kitchen porters
During these busy periods the working hours of the role will be 1pm to 10pm and may involve weekends. All overtime is paid / or given back in lieu.
Qualifications:
* Valid UK Drivers License
* Certified in CPR / First Aid (or prepared to undertake and/or update if necessary)
