You will lead the development of innovative solutions that meet our customer needs. These projects are varied and at times complex used to support our military customers for missions systems and deployable infrastructure. Why join Marshall in this role? Your Responsibilities in this role: Lead the development team to ensure most cost-effective solutions are developed, which are safe to use and compliant with requirements and statutory legislation Define work packages and tasking documentation, including design approaches, budget and timescales to support programme schedule for delivery Produce, or review and approve engineering technical documents Produce, or review and approve engineering calculations to substantiate product designs Produce presentation packs and present evidence in formal development gate reviews Produce safety documentation, including hazard logs Produce, or review and approve technical specifications for sub-contract suppliers Produce, or review and approve test schedules / reports and lead testing activities Manage team performance to ensure delivery to schedule and budget. Conduct Professional Development Reviews and support development of engineers Apply if you have most of the following: Qualified to degree level in Engineering or Apprenticeship with sufficient experience in the field or relevant transferable skills Sound understanding of engineering principles Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with energy and enthusiasm to all levels within and outside of the business Ability to apply your skills and knowledge across a wide and diverse range of projects Ability to work accurately and at pace Experienced in planning and delivering tasks to schedule and budget, demonstrating effective time management across many projects and priorities Proven experience of supporting team members to deliver and develop through coaching and guidance Sound understanding of product safety, standards, technical risk management Appreciation of manufacturing techniques, including riveting, bonding & fabricating Based in the UK, with operations in Canada, Marshall specialises in the design and production of deployable operational infrastructure and mission support for humanitarian, defence and security operations across the globe. Other core services include the integration of complex systems into a range of vehicles for use by the military and security services including explosive ordnance disposal and battlefield ambulances all underpinned by a full in-life managed service provision to ensure customers‘ equipment is available where and when they need it.
