To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to a wide range of musculoskeletal inpatients and outpatients within the Trust. This post consists of 6 monthly musculoskeletal rotations that include: MSK outpatients, hydrotherapy, rehabilitation groups (lower limb, ESCAPE pain, total knee replacement) and long term conditions.
Rotations may change subject to service demands and following staff consultation.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to be part of the MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy service at the Royal Free Hospital site. The successful candidate will work at a specialised level of practice in the treatment of MSK conditions, with the majority of referrals being referred via Orthopaedics and Rheumatology. The main rotation is into the Hand therapy service at the Royal Free Hospital. You will be supported by the whole team and have a Band 7 Physiotherapist supervisor.
The successful candidate is required to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description, and person specification. In particular, you should have proven experience of working in an MSK setting.

Person specification
* Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
* Degree/graduate diploma in Physiotherapy
* Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
* Certificated graduate courses or equivalent in-house training in clinical specialty and management responsibilities
* Commitment to advanced clinical and professional development
* Member of CSP
Experience
* Comprehensive post-registration experience with experience in musculoskeletal services
* Understanding and application of the PT process with evidence of clinical reasoning and clinical problem solving
* Evidence of CPD in the form of a professional portfolio
* Teaching/education of colleagues/ multidisciplinary team and/or public/carers
* Team working and ability to work as part of a team
Skills and aptitudes
* Able to work autonomously and use initiative
* Evidence of specialist clinical skills
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Effective clinical reasoning skills & ability to reflect on own practice
* Knowledge of relevant standardised assessments, and relevant outcome measures
