The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Private Client Associate to work within our fast-growing team in one of our Cheshire offices. You will report directly to the Head of Department and be responsible for developing and handling a full caseload of private client files, ensuring the delivery of personal and team targets while providing excellent customer service.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide expert legal advice on a range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate.
* Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
* Manage the administration of estates, including obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration.
* Handle complex cases involving high-value estates and cross-border issues.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing a high level of client care.
* Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
* Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and grow the firm’s private client practice.
* Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service to all clients.
* Ensure personal and team compliance with professional conduct rules and internal policies and procedures.
* Manage financial aspects of client work effectively.
* Ensure achievement of financial billing targets for client work for your team.
* Deliver effective supervision to any staff reporting to you.
* Complete file reviews on schedule for any fee earners requested.
* Participate regularly in business development activities to stimulate growth in caseload.
* Ensure personal and team conversion of enquiries into new business.
* Be proactive in assisting the firm sell more services to existing clients.
* Ensure proficiency in the effective use of the practice and case management system.
* Ensure the integrity of data for contacts, clients, and matters which your team works on.
What we are looking for:
* Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate in England and Wales.
* 3 years plus PQE within Private Client law.
* Strong technical knowledge.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively and efficiently.
* Experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
* Experience in supervising team members.
